descent campaign tracker launched
Friday, March 12, 11:22 am
the title of this blog says it all. about two months ago i launched descent campaign tracker for normal use. it had been in beta for about a month, during which time i fixed several things and added a couple of features based upon tester's comments. the website went over really well with everyone and people were finding it very helpful.
not long after i announced that it was ready for normal use, i got a geekmail (private message using board game geek) from one of the hosts of the podcast the d6 generation. he said that he wanted to announce descent campaign tracker on his podcast and post a link to their campaign on twitter. a few days later, i listened to his podcast and heard my name and descent campaign tracker mentioned. they talked of it highly which was a pretty great feeling. as of the time of this writing, it has been on two podcasts now, and i'm expecting it to be on a third soon. very awesome.
this weekend is my family's yearly trip to a hotel. we go every march just to hang out, swim, and play games. i definitely look forward to it each year. the destination this time is to redwing minnesota, a place i haven't been to in a long time (ever?). we have come to call these trips march madness, since the last couple of years have fallen on the same weekend as the opening of the NCAA games. this year however we are going a week before the games start, but the name march madness has stuck anyway.
final fantasy 13 and bioshock 2 have both come out recently. i got about halfway through bioshock 2 before final fantasy came out, and since final fantasy definitely takes precedence, i'm now playing that. final fantasy started out rather slow and repetitive as they often do, but now that i'm farther into it things have become much more interesting and difficult. in fact, it's probably the most difficult final fantasy i have played thus far, especially considering i'm still quite a ways away from the ending. a challenge is good though, and in this version, a game over starts you immediately before the battle you lost. about frickin' time. if you have a ps3 or 360 and like role playing games, i highly recommend this one.
on an entirely different note, i got engaged to amanda in january. :) the wedding date is set as july 24th. plans have been going relatively smoothly so far, but there still seems like there is a lot left to do. we have help though, so i'm sure we will manage. i've also started looking at houses to buy, so we have a place to live. it's an exciting time.
thanks for reading. sorry it's been so long since i've written one of these. until next time, paradigm shift to slash and burn!
